  14. We are working on a new library catalog retrieval system
  15. which you may enjoy using for its own sake (it includes
  16. an e-mail facility that sends you your search results--
  17. great for doing research and building bibliographies).

  19. Behind the scenes are a number of features which make use of
  20. SNOBOL4 and Icon programs:
  21.   The catalog update system is a SNOBOL4 program which adds,
  22. changes, and deletes records in the master files.
  23.   The "Author Browse" feature searches a file built with an
  24. icon parser. The search algorithm itself, while written in C,
  25. is based on a search algorithm in the Icon Programming Library.
